Moorestown, NJ, April 15, 2013 –CareKinesis is pleased to announce its proprietary software platform, EireneRx™ version 1.9, has attained 2011 Edition Certification from the ICSA Labs ONC Health IT Certification Program. Knowlton, BScPharm, MDiv, PhD, CareKinesis is differentiated by its use of specialized, proprietary, advanced and unique software that provides the prescribing physicians and the CareKinesis PharmDs with Medication Decision Support tools at point of care. “These tools, including certified e-prescribing, help mitigate medication risk, averting Adverse Drug Events that lead to morbidity and hospitalizations and hospital readmissions,” said Knowlton. Dr. Knowlton was awarded a patent on this process (U.S. Patent 8,392,220).
CareKinesis was founded to improve the current medication delivery system for the frail elderly who are the largest users of multiple, concurrent, medications in the U.S.; and, who suffer most frequently from the perils of preventable medication misadventuring.
“All the credit goes to our Software Development Team and Product Management Team who worked tirelessly to achieve certification. This is a highly valuable next step for CareKinesis,” said CareKinesis Chief Information Officer, Joseph J. Filippoli.
